2km Primary School Challenge
The 2km Primary School Challenge is for Primary aged children aged 5-11yrs old.
The event is split in 2 with the first start at 10am ‘racers’ followed by the second start at 10:15am ‘chasers’.
There will be age group categories U8, U10 and U12 with age taken from race day.
Parents or guardians may accompany children if they want, but they have to start in the second start at 10:15am. Only children under 12 can start in the 10am ‘racers’ event.

The event is electronically timed and each age group placegetter receives a trophy and medals for all finishers.
This is a great chance for children to experience a big running event with all the features of a major city event in the country.
The course is very safe and easy to follow with 2 x 1km laps of the Showgrounds precinct.
