The Athlete’s Foot 2km Primary School Challenge

The Athlete’s Foot 2km Primary School Challenge is for Primary aged children aged 5-11yrs old.

This year the event will be run as one (not 2 different starts like in the past) starting at 10:15am.

There will be age group categories U8, U10 and U12 with age taken from race day. Those aged 12 or over are not legible for the overall and age group placings but are welcome to run if the 5km is too long.

Parents or guardians may accompany children if they want, but they have to start at the back. Those 12 or over are deemed non competitive so please start at the back.

The event is electronically timed and each age group placegetter (U8, U10 and U12) receives a trophy, there are medals for all finishers.

This is a great chance for children to experience a big running event with all the features of a major city event in the country.

The course is very safe and easy to follow with 2 x 1km laps of the Showgrounds precinct.

Friday 20th 2-5pm at the Wangaratta Chronicle 37 Rowan St.

Saturday 21st 2-5pm at the Showgrounds race HQ

Sunday 22nd from 6am at the Showgrounds race HQ
